Arthur Ganta, Member

Board Members of SAAA

 

Arthur J. Ganta is the second of three children born to Mr. G.S. Peterson and Helen Solomon. He along with his siblings were born in Gifford Memorial Hospital in Nuzvid, Andhra Pradesh. His early education started in SDA Spencer School in Bangalore and continued in SDA English High School in Secunderabad, and Lowry Memorial High School in Bangalore. He then completed his Indian School Certificate (ISC) at Spicer Secondary School in 1975. He joined Spicer Memorial college in 1976 and graduated with a Major in Chemistry and a minor in Physics in 1980. His career started as a high school teacher, teaching Chemistry, Physics, Math and Bible at SDA English High School, Secunderabad in July 1980.

He immigrated to the US in November of 1982 and graduated from Andrews University, Michigan, in August 1985 with a Masters in Business Administration. After graduating from Andrews University, he joined the accounting department at Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association in Washington, DC, in 1987 and remained in Association Management ever since. Currently he is the Senior Director of Finance and Administration for the National Association of Conservation Districts. In January of 2010, the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Commission of the American Society of Association Executives conferred the CAE credential to him.

He has been an active member of SAAA since the late 1980’s. Some of the positions he held at SAAA are Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, SAAA Board Member, Member of Religious Committee, Vice President, Camp Director, Chairman of Membership Committee, Member of Finance Committee and Chairman of Property Management Committee and Council.

He is married to Dr. Vijaya Yelamanchili and blessed with three lovely children. Their names are Vijay Solomon Ganta, Vincent Arthur Ganta and Valerie Alina Ganta. Dr. Vijaya Ganta is a Board Certified Endocrinologist and Internist at Howard University Hospital.

When time permits Arthur loves to travel, play tennis and volley ball.
