Religious Direction focuses on the following:
PRAYER BREAKFAST
2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people … humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (ESV).
Prayer breakfast is all about prayer. It is an opportunity for people of God to come together to pray for God’s blessings on SAAA members, the poor and marginalized; church leaders; young people, students and teachers; and for the community at large.
SABBATH SCHOOL LESSON STUDY
Sabbath School Lesson Study meets to fulfil a four-fold purpose: To nurture the class members, to organize compassionate ministry, to support the global ministry of the Gospel and to worship God through the study of His Word. They are weekly lessons for in-depth Bible study of the Word of God.
FESTIVAL OF PRAISE SONGS
Congregation gathers to sing hymns and songs together to praise our almighty God. Paul says, “speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
DIVINE SERVICE
The central activity of SAAA is to worship, fellowship, grow in Christ, and to serve in the community. The Southern Asia Adventist Association holds its monthly services on the second Sabbath of every month via Zoom until further notice and Covid-19 Guidance from local government.
The programs are arranged by the Religious Committee who take great interest in arranging spirit filled programs and in bringing a variety of speakers to ensure the members of the association are fully inspired, nurtured and empowered by the divine Word of God.
Our religious committee consists of six coordinators, who have the zeal and enthusiasm to serve God with their talents and abilities.
Our Religious Ministry is committed to enhance the spiritual experience and the growth of every person into a ministry of Jesus Christ by helping them to discover their God-given gifts, providing the necessary support, encouraging them to carry out the mission within the values of the church.
FELLOWSHIP LUNCH TO FOLLOW THE WORSHIP SERVICE
Once a month, we gather after worship to share lunch and conversation together, to meet and greet one another. These lunches help us to grow in friendship and relationship with each other and help us to build a community of friends who are welcoming to all and who nurture and help one another in life. The Lunch Hour is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and for celebrations.
